From Cologne with Games: Gamescom 2025 Recap
At Gamescom 2025, the Slovak booth was buzzing, packed halls, back-to-back meetings, and plenty of fresh inspiration. We wrapped it all up with a lively Happy Hour (and some honest chats over Tatranský čaj).
We had the chance to attend Gamescom 2025 in Cologne with exhibitor passes provided by SARIO, joining the Slovak booth coordinated by SGDA. It was a great opportunity to showcase our work, meet industry partners, and soak up the atmosphere of the world’s biggest gaming fair.
Wednesday started steady with good traffic and useful talks, but on Thursday the halls were absolutely packed, with every aisle buzzing with fans, developers, and business meetings back-to-back.
Among the show highlights, we loved seeing the reveal of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and the buzz around Love and Deepspace, which took home Best Mobile Game. And on a personal note, one of our loyal development partners, Headup, presented Super Meat Boy 3D, a title we’d be thrilled to see on mobile one day too.
The Happy Hour at the Slovak booth on Thursday was another highlight. Great conversations, networking, and fun carried us all the way until the fair closed at 8 pm. With a cup of Tatranský čaj in hand, the talks became refreshingly honest and often even more productive.
A big thank you to SARIO and SGDA for making the Slovak presence possible, and to FPU (Fond na podporu umenia) for supporting our journey. We return with new contacts, fresh ideas, and plenty of momentum for what lies ahead.

Two Days That Transformed Our Vision
At the Seed Starter Bootcamp, we revisited how we present TuuTap and refined our message for investors. The supportive atmosphere made it easy to share ideas, and by the end, everyone genuinely wanted to see each other succeed.
Last week, my colleague Robert Schmiedl and I joined the Seed Starter Bootcamp hosted by Slovenská sporiteľňa. The event brought together nine early-stage Slovak startups, each developing either a digital or physical product, for two days of focused work on business strategy and communication.
The sessions were led by several experienced mentors, including Vít Šubert and Martin Klčo from Unicorn Attacks, and focused on clarity, relevance, and storytelling. It’s one thing to understand your own product; it’s another to communicate its value clearly and concisely, especially to investors. That’s something we’ve been thinking about a lot with TuuTap, which spans multiple use cases and partner types. The Bootcamp gave us a chance to rethink how we present that flexibility without losing focus.

We used the opportunity to take a fresh look at how we describe TuuTap, moving beyond features to highlight value, particularly for partners like telcos who are looking for accessible, gamified engagement tools. It helped us sharpen both what we say and how we say it.
The event encouraged open discussion among the participating teams. Swapping experiences and perspectives, even with startups in very different sectors, brought out some surprisingly common challenges and insights. The relaxed and constructive atmosphere helped build a sense of togetherness, and by the end, it genuinely felt like everyone was rooting for each other to succeed.
Our thanks go to Slovenská sporiteľňa and the Seed Starter team for organizing the Bootcamp, and to the mentors for their thoughtful, direct input. The experience offered a valuable pause to reflect, improve, and connect, and we’re glad we took it.
