Our takeaways from GDC 2025
TuuT attended the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, drawing over 28,000 industry professionals — a snapshot of where game development is heading.
Artificial intelligence was the dominant theme — featured heavily across narrative design, real-time localisation and procedural content generation. Another standout was full-body motion tracking for mobile and VR, translating physical movement into on-screen action in real time.
Beyond the sessions, the relationships mattered most. We connected with partners including Bemobi and Plug In Digital to explore distribution opportunities and talk through the industry's shared challenges around monetisation, catalogue growth and market penetration.
We also made time for San Francisco itself — cable cars, the Golden Gate Bridge, and a Waymo autonomous ride that was, as we put it, "the smoothest meeting we ever had, and no one had to take the wheel."
