Last week, my colleague Robert Schmiedl and I joined the Seed Starter Bootcamp hosted by Slovenská sporiteľňa. The event brought together nine early-stage Slovak startups, each developing either a digital or physical product, for two days of focused work on business strategy and communication.

The sessions were led by several experienced mentors, including Vít Šubert and Martin Klčo from Unicorn Attacks, and focused on clarity, relevance, and storytelling. It’s one thing to understand your own product; it’s another to communicate its value clearly and concisely, especially to investors. That’s something we’ve been thinking about a lot with TuuTap, which spans multiple use cases and partner types. The Bootcamp gave us a chance to rethink how we present that flexibility without losing focus.

We used the opportunity to take a fresh look at how we describe TuuTap, moving beyond features to highlight value, particularly for partners like telcos who are looking for accessible, gamified engagement tools. It helped us sharpen both what we say and how we say it.

The event encouraged open discussion among the participating teams. Swapping experiences and perspectives, even with startups in very different sectors, brought out some surprisingly common challenges and insights. The relaxed and constructive atmosphere helped build a sense of togetherness, and by the end, it genuinely felt like everyone was rooting for each other to succeed.

Our thanks go to Slovenská sporiteľňa and the Seed Starter team for organizing the Bootcamp, and to the mentors for their thoughtful, direct input. The experience offered a valuable pause to reflect, improve, and connect, and we’re glad we took it.
